Its been so long since I have blogged. We have so much going on right now, and it is hard to find the time. Tonight however, I decided I'd get to work and update my blog.
I am totally excited about my blog right now. I finally figured out how to make it all pretty and stuff. It was really bothering me. lol so I hope you like the new look. Of course there is lots more id love to do, but time just doesn't permit.
Any who, first things first. BOSTYN is doing great. She is almost two months old, and getting soo big. Bostyn fits so perfectly in our duo (now trio) its crazy. I don't know how we went so long without her. I could not imagine us without her now. She has completed us in more ways than words can describe.
I only have four weeks left before I have to return to work. I am dreading this. I have a BIG PrObLeM putting my daughter down. I know it may sound crazy, but I miss her if she isn't in my arms. She could be laying right next to me, but id rather have her in my arms. So going back to work is going to be tough.
AND...I have created a problem. She will only sleep on me... and if I put her down she cries her heart out, which breaks my heart.
Knowing that I am going back to work soon; I knew I had to do something about this. She will be in daycare and I know that she wont be able to be held ALL day long. So tearfully I have started putting her down. Doing a little bit at a time and letting her whine a little before I rush to put her back in my arms. It is going good. We are up to about 15 min (depending on her mood) before she gets really upset. So we have defiantly made some improvements. Sleeping is going well too. Matt has officially made the couch his bed. Why you ask. Well, we have moved Bostyn from sleeping on my chest (in the recliner) to sleeping in bed with me. It was tough the first couple of nights but is going better. At first I had to be there basically holding her in the lying down position, then I was able to sleep next to her as long as we were touching, and now (bitter/sweet) I can leave the room. We are going to do this for another week or so and then move her into her crib. This is the plan but I have a feeling this is gonna be hard for me, so we will see. =) She is sleeping in six hour stretches through the night, and I'm loving it. the sleep that is.
We have begun to get out of the house more... and its been nice. Marlo told me it would get easier getting out of the house with a baby, and I must say it has. I wouldn't call us masters yet but we are working on it.
Visiting Justin, Natalie, Richard and Lacy at the beach.
Lacy was picture crazy and has tons more that i need to steal from her.
Visiting with Jaiden, you may remember this picture from a previous post
The stars have arrived!!
They are exactly two weeks apart. We cant wait for them and Nixxon (he didn't make it, but his momma is in the above pic) to grow up together!!
My grandparents live in Burbank and Bostyn and I decided to head out there for a visit. The drive there was nice and smooth...the drive home...not so much. She cried the entire time. It was tough. But the visit was nice.
And today we celebrated Braysen's 1st Birthday. Bostyn didn't do much celebrating because she slept the entire time. She got to meet many new friends (in her sleep).
Every once in a while she would flash us an eye ball, but quickly slipped back into slumber.
We had a great time; Pirate Braysen was adorable as always, and it was great to see and catch up with everyone.
This was daddy and Bostyn about five minutes after getting home...
I joined them soon after!
House buying is still going..we are waiting to open escrow. Hopefully that will be this week and we can start packing. While waiting for the bank to get paperwork started on the original home that our offer was accepted, another one of our offers was excepted and we decided to go with the second home. This home is less upfront work and is more move in ready so we wont have to drain the bank account to make it livable. PLUS we really love this home, the other had a lot of potential, but I see this home more as...Well our home. Here is hoping nothing goes wrong in escrow and it all works out.
School is going well, my first quarter has come to an end and I received a 3.0. not too shabby considering I went into labor in the middle of the quarter. I Love being at CBU, I feel Like I'm finally getting somewhere. =)
Now that I have brought you up to speed, I leave you with this.. Our heart!
ya...they call me BoStYn!!
